PCG recently announced that 372 employees contributed to organizations assisting citizens of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The donations will be helping those affected by Hurricane Maria. Personal donations by staff, as well as a matching contribution from the company itself, lead to a total of $133,931 contributing to relief efforts.
Hurricane Maria started to hit Puerto Rico on September 20th, 2017. Along with the US Virgin Islands, the area is still struggling to recover from the category four storm. According to the latest statistics, reported just a short four days ago, over fifty percent of Puerto Rico's population is without drinking water, fourteen hospitals are without power, and eighty percent of the area's agricultural industry is destroyed.
CEO and founder, William Mosakowski, commented, “Every time the call goes out, my colleagues from around the world step up. The company is proud to aid in their generosity and to make a matching donation.” Fundraising was lead by PCG Cares, an initiative within PCG to support populations in need and improve lives in the communities it serves.
